John is a PhD student in the ECE department at Georgia Tech. He graduated in 2009 at the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (summa cum laude) and in 2010 at Georgia Tech with a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. While John was working on his undergraduate degree, he served 3 co-op terms with Honeywell Inc. in Clearwater, Florida, working on systems level testing and analysis of embedded GPS/INS systems. He also performed 2 internships at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, researching potential sensor applications of thin amorphous metal wires. Currently he is a graduate research assistant at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, working with the GTRI/ONR MIMO Radar Benchmark. His research interests include MIMO radar, multi-sensor resource allocation, sparse modeling, target tracking, and the general field of digital signal processing. John is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu.
