In the discipline of Information and Communication Engineering, his major research fields are real-time information processing, radar system, space remote sensing and satellite navigation etc. He is responsible for programs of the 973 Project and the 863 Project, and is assuming responsibility for 2 major programs of the National Natural Science Foundation. He won 1 second prize of National Technology Invention, 2 first prizes (1 of them ranked the first) and 5 second prizes (2 of them ranked the first) and 1 third prize of National Defense and Military Technology Achievements. He published some 200 academic papers on major academic journals at home and abroad. Some 120 papers of them were registered in SCI and EI. He received 29 authorized invention patents and has 2 academic publications.
He is currently the chief expert of a program in Major Basic Research of National Security (973 Project), the chief expert of the 863 Project, the vice chief designer of a weapon system, the guest expert in the experts panel of the General Armament Department. He is also the director of Radar experts panel of Beijing Society of Electronics, the vice chairman of the branch of signal processing of Chinese Society of Electronics, an IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) fellow, the chairman of IET 2009 International Radar Conference, the editorial member if IET Radar Sonar & Navigation and Electronics Journal, the vice chief editor of Signal Processing.
In 2007, he was engaged as the leader of the Development Program of Creative Teams of the National Ministry of Education. In 2009 he was engaged as the chief expert in the Major Basic Research of National Security Program. In 2012 he won the subsidies of the National Outstanding Youths Science Fund Program.
