Richard C. Hochberg (SM’88; Fellow’07), earned his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering at Kansas State University, Manhattan Kansas, USA, with research interests in the areas of instrumentation and fiber optic sensors in 1987.

Dr. Hochberg is an active member of IEEE AESS and IMS.  He is an AESS representative to the AUTOTESTCON BoD, and currently serves on the Administrative Committee (AdCom) of the IMS.  He was recently the IMS VP for Technical Activities, and has been active on the AUTOTESTCON BOD for many years representing the IMS.

Dr Hochberg is employed by the Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as a Program Manager supporting the US Department of Defense in Alexandria, Virginia, USA.  He has a wide range of experience in guided missiles research and development, test and evaluation, and complex systems acquisition management.

Field of Interest

“The field of interest shall be the organization, systems engineering, design, development, integration, and operation of complex systems for space, air, ocean, or ground environments. These systems include but are not limited to navigation, avionics, mobile electric power and electronics, radar, sonar, telemetry, military, law-enforcement, automatic test, simulators, and command and control."
