Dr. R.K. Keshri was born on November 9, 1978. He received B.Sc (Engg) and M.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur (India), and PhD from University of Padova, Italy all in Electrical Engineering in 2003, 2007 and 2014 respectively. In 2015, he joined Department of Electrical Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (India), where he is currently an Assistant Professor. From October 2006 to August 2015 he has been with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (India) as an Assistant Professor. From January 2008 to December 2008 and August 2010 to July 2013 he has been with University of Padova (Italy) as Young researcher and Erasmus Mundus Doctoral Research Scholar respectively.
His research interests are application of power electronics and drives for electric vehicle propulsion system, integration of PV with electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, fault tolerance and of three and multiphase permanent magnet brushless dc motor drives for traction and more electric air craft applications.
Dr. Keshri was awarded with Young researcher Fellowship from Ministry of University Italy in 2008 and Erasmus Mundus Doctoral Research Fellowship under WillPower from European Union in 2010. He has won first prize in Class 3 Formula Electric and Hybrid, Turin, Italy in 2011 as Student Team Leader for BUS4M (Battery Ultra capacitor system for Mobility) for best project and business plan. He has been one of the organizer of special sessions and technical tracks during IECON 2013, 2014 and 2015. He is Sr. Member IEEE and Member SAEIndia.
