Robert Fonod (S’10-M'15) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Space Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands. Prior to joining TU Delft, he was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Israel. He received the Ph.D. (2014) degree (mention tres honorable) in Automatic Control from University of Bordeaux, France. He spent several months as a NPI/PhD Fellow at the European Space Research and Technology Center (ESTEC), the Netherlands, and at the headquarters of Thales Alenia Space (TAS), France. He received the B.Sc. (2009) and M.Sc.Eng. (2011) degrees (both with honors) in Cybernetics from Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia. Between 2010 and 2013, he was a Scholar of the elite Collegium Talentum program, mentored by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
