IEEE Joint SMC-AES Meeting - March 10

The IEEE Central Texas Section Joint Chapter of the Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society and Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society will have a meeting at noonThursday, March 10th, at Southwest Research Institute in the Video Teleconference Center, Building 189.  This is a “brown bag” lunchtime seminar.  You are welcome to bring in your lunch.

The presenter will be Mr. Nicholas Saulnier, who will discuss his research project on the design and prototype development of a cell phone camera application to facilitate screening for cervical cancer.  The title of his presentation is “Creating a Mobile Platform for Cervical Cancer Diagnosis.”  Mr. Saulnier is a graduate electrical engineering student at Southern Methodist University.  He was selected in 2011 to receive one of the Southwest Research Institute Martin Goland scholarships.  He also received a National Merit Finalist Scholarship.
