The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. After studying and evaluating the recent announcements, guidance, and news released by relevant national departments, including travel restrictions being placed on companies and organizations involved in the conference, we are sorry to announce that SSS 2020, scheduled to be held April 6-9, 2020 in Crystal City, Virginia will no longer take place on these dates.
Alternatively, we are excited to announce that the SSS organizing committee is working diligently with the IEEE and The Crystal Gateway Marriott to find alternative conference dates. We will provide more information on the new dates, registration updates and author presentation guidelines shortly. We thank you for your understanding.
We urge all attendees to check with their airline providers regarding rescheduling options.
NOTICE OF CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID-19
After careful consideration, the ION is announcing that the IEEE/ION Position Location and Navigation Symposium (PLANS) scheduled to take place April 20-23, 2020, in Portland, Oregon has been cancelled. The decision to cancel this meeting was based on:
The World Health Organization has declared Coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic.
The U.S. government has restricted travel into the U.S. from Asia and Europe (United Kingdom excluded).
The Governor of Oregon has called for all gatherings of over 250 people to be cancelled for the next four weeks.
We urge those who were planning to attend the meeting to expedite flight and hotel cancellations and contact the hotel directly to cancel your room reservation. IEEE/ION PLANS 2020 registration and exhibit fees will be fully refunded by March 31. ION will communicate directly with scheduled program participants, registered attendees, and exhibitors.
Should PLANS 2020 be rescheduled, we will notify you once those arrangements have been finalized.

Due to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have postponed the ICNS 2020 conference until Wednesday 9 September – Friday 11 September 2020. The conference will remain in the same hotel. The safety and well-being of our ICNS community of volunteers, participants, and guest speakers is our priority. We will continue to strive to deliver the best possible value and experience for everyone involved as the summer progresses.
If you have already registered for ICNS 2020, your conference registration will carry forward to the future date automatically—there is no need to re-register. For people who have already registered for the conference and are unable to attend given the new dates, refunds will be possible. For those attendees who made hotel reservations through the ICNS 2020 conference website, the hotel will cancel your April reservations. You will need to make new hotel reservations for the September dates.
Authors who have submitted papers will also receive detailed instructions within the next week. The instructions will describe options for authors to update their papers over the summer if they wish to share the latest data at the conference.

The health and well-being of our speakers, invited participants, and the seminary community is our first priority. We are thrilling to announce that the IEEE MetroAeroSpace 2020 Organizing Committee is working diligently with the IEEE Meetings, Conferences and Events team in order to monitor official travel advisories and all the recent news released by national departments related to the Corona Virus.
We are working to propose the best solution for the safety of participants and we will update the event website to keep you informed. Moving the conference date or holding an e-conference are both solutions under consideration and the decision will be given soon.
20 March 2020 – Further paper submission extension: Owing to time lost due to COVID-19 disruptions, the committee and the ISIF board have decided to extend the paper submission deadline to 2 April 2020, 12:00 UTC. The notification of acceptance will accordingly move to 7 May 2020.
18 March 2020 – Announcement – COVID update: We would like to continue encouraging authors to submit papers. We are working on contingency plans for remote presentations, or a combination of on-site and remote presentations. Should neither of these options be possible, we will take all steps to have accepted papers published via IEEEXplore.
13 March 2020 – Announcement – COVID-19 considerations: In some countries, institutions and authorities are implementing measures that tend to create uncertainty around the arrangements for Fusion 2020. The Fusion 2020 conference committee is closely monitoring the situation on the COVID-19 outbreak through official global and local channels. Given the fluidity of the situation, the conference committee is planning for a number of contingencies, should the need for them arise. We will continue to update the Fusion 2020 website on the enactment of these plans, as the COVID-19 situation becomes more certain over the next two months. We remain optimistic about the continuation of the conference and continue to plan as such. We extended the submission deadline and look forward to your submissions over the next two weeks.
