Dr. Faruk Uysal obtained his Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in electrical engineering from New York University, New York, USA in 2010 and 2016, respectively. From 2011 to 2014, he served as a staff engineer at C&P Technologies, Inc. in Closter, New Jersey, USA. During this time, he gained valuable industry experience.

Between 2014 and 2016, Dr. Uysal worked as a radar engineer at the Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, USA. In this role, he contributed to the design and implementation of various projects funded by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.

From 2016 to 2021, Dr. Uysal held the position of Assistant Professor in the Microwave Sensing, Signals, and Systems (MS3) section within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science (EEMCS) at Delft University of Technology.

Currently, Dr. Uysal serves as a Scientist at TNO Netherlands and maintains affiliation as an associate member of the Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) at the University of Oklahoma, USA. He is also a senior member of both the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the International Union of Radio Science (URSI).

Dr. Uysal possesses a wealth of expertise in radar, encompassing areas such as beamforming theory, target detection, radar imaging (specifically synthetic aperture radar), waveform design, digital signal processing, distributed radar networks, space surveillance radar and automotive radar.

He is an elected member of the IEEE AESS Radar Systems Panel (RSP), further contributing to the radar community.
