AESS Early Career Award Nomination Form
This annual award is to recognize an individual, whose age has not reached the 41st birthday by the nomination deadline, and who has made outstanding contributions to aerospace and electronic systems. The “early career award” for Radar is the Fred Nathanson Award. This Early Career Award is for an individual working in all the other areas of interest of AESS. The recipient must be a current member of the IEEE and AESS and have been a member of the IEEE and AESS for at least the previous 3 calendar years plus the year of the nomination. Current officers and members of the AESS Board of Governors are ineligible. Previous recipients of this award recipients of the Fred Nathanson Early Career Award, and winners of IEEE Field Awards are all ineligible. Self-nominations are not accepted. Members of the AESS Board of Governors are not permitted to submit nominations or reference letters.

Neither you nor the endorsers need to be IEEE members.

- Submission Deadline: 1 December
- Selection of Recipient: 28 February
- Notification of Recipient: 1 March
Presentation of Award: IEEE AESS conference Letters must be received within a reasonable time after the nomination is submitted to me to make the candidate eligible for the current year's award. It is desirable to receive the nomination materials by 1 December.
If not selected, the nomination is held over for consideration for the following years.
