Dr. Slocumb received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1998 from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 1988 he received the MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University, and in 1986 he received the BS degree in Systems Science Engineering also from Washington University. He received a BA in Mathematics from The Colorado College in 1984. Dr. Slocumb joined Numerica Corporation in 2001 where he is responsible for the direction of research programs in the areas of multi-target multi-sensor tracking, information and data fusion, radar signal processing, and mathematical and statistical modeling with specific application to radar and ESM systems. At Numerica, Dr. Slocumb has been the program manager on over 30 major DoD research and development programs. From 1988-2001, Dr. Slocumb was employed at the Georgia Tech Research Institute in Atlanta, GA, as a Senior Research Engineer where he worked on a variety of programs involving tracking, radar systems, and electronic warfare systems. From 1992-1993 while on leave from GTRI he has served as a Visiting Research Fellow concurrently with the Defence Science and Technology Organisation and the Cooperative Research Centre for Robust and Adaptive Systems in Australia. Dr. Slocumb is a member of the IEEE and ISIF. He is the Area Editor for Fusion Applications for the Journal of Advances in Information Fusion. He has served as a reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems and the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. Dr. Slocumb is the author or co-author of two book chapters, 29 refereed conference papers, and over 60 major DoD final reports.
