Karol Abratkiewicz was born in Brodnica (Poland) in 1993. He received his B.Sc. (with honors) and M.Sc. degrees in electronics and telecommunications from the Gdansk University of Technology (GUT) in 2016 and 2017, respectively. His specialization was in microwave engineering and antenna design, whereas his M.Sc. thesis covered signal processing techniques. In 2014, he had an internship at Przemysłowy Instytut Telekomunikacji S.A. (PIT S.A.), and from 2015 to 2018, he was employed at the GUT and took part in international R&D projects, providing wireless and embedded infrastructure for the Hi-Tech industry. In the summer of 2018, he had an internship at Fraunhofer FHR (Wachtberg, Germany) in the department of Passive Radar and Anti-Jamming Techniques. Since 2018, he has been a Ph.D. student at the Warsaw University of Technology in the Radar Research Group. His main research interests are radar signal processing (especially time-frequency analysis), signal parameter estimation, and linear and non-linear pulse reconstruction. He is the author and co-author of over 30 scientific papers and reports. Since 2018, Karol Abratkiewicz has been an IEEE AES, SP, and GRS Student Member.
