Thomas Gietzold is Senior Engineering Manager in the Power Electronics Motor Drive Systems Centre, he joined UTAS UK in the January of 2015. During his 25 years of work at United Technologies, he worked at OTIS Elevator, Carrier corp. and Building integrated Systems.
He was appointed Fellow power electronics and motors while managing the Power Electronics group at Carrier. After studying electrical engineering at the Technical University Berlin, Germany, Thomas joined Otis elevator in 1990 as an electrical engineer for a remote elevator monitoring system. Shortly after, he became a member of the newly formed drives design group, he moved to the OTIS headquarters in Farmington Connecticut USA in 2000 and later built the Carrier power electronics organization.
