Description

Space trips are becoming more and more frequent and involve more than just the launch of a rocket. As they are manned missions, the astronauts require arduous training, in addition they carry technological experiments of which it must be certain that they would work in other climatological, atmospheric and gravitational conditions; In this aspect, analog space missions play an important role. These types of missions are tests carried out on Earth, where natural or artificial environments are used to simulate missions in space, whether on the Moon, Mars or traveling aboard a ship.
This lecture talks about how astronauts prepare before arriving in space, such as in isolation conditions, underwater, in flight, physical and medical training, among others. In addition to addressing the routine tasks of astronauts and the experiments that are carried into space and that involve the different branches of engineering.
