This application should be completed by a Student Branch Chapter Officer or Advisor.

The application should include: 

The nomination form submitter should be a Student Branch Chapter Officer or Advisor, and the SBC activities (meetings and events) noted within this nomination should also be reported officially in IEEE vTools. Then, completing the nomination requires:

  • A listing with a description of the SBC's activities for the year (upload a PDF). Additional documentation of how the performance was particularly noteworthy in terms of events, engagement in AESS initiatives, publicity, membership, and or governance is welcome.
  • Two letters of recommendation from AESS members. These letters are typically expected to be from the SBC volunteers who are submitting the nomination but may be from any other AESS members who wish to express their knowledge and support of the SBC.

4. Provide details about the initiatives that you are planning to put into action with the prize foreseen by this award. (The prize is not intended for individuals but will be at the disposal of the Student Branch Chapter for any initiative involving its members, e.g. for supporting students, funding travel grants, enhancing local events, publicizing the Student Branch Chapter, funding internal awards/contests, etc.)
5. If applicable, provide a report of the initiatives funded and the expenses covered with the prize received in one of the previous editions of this award. (This question has to be filled in only by Student Branch Chapters that have been recipients of the IEEE AESS Student Branch Chapter of the Year Award in the past year.)
