chuckglider

IEEE-VIT AESS conducted its very first event after inauguration of making of chuckgliders on 17th March, 2023. The workshop was guided by Jaydeep Khopkar sir at VIT campus ground. The workshop commenced with a brief introduction on aerodynamics of aircraft along with their uses and types. Continued with demonstration of aircraft working and display of static models. Brief information was given on the history of planes’ structure and advancement. After the introduction participants were given Kits of chuckglider. The step-by-step procedure of making and working of chuckglider was explained by Jaydeep Sir. Simultaneously, students were shown a documentary about the advancement of aeromodelling and aerodynamic field. Once the gliders were ready, participants did a fly test. Participants had hands-on experience on making gliders. The workshop was successfully conducted by all the members of IEEE AESS-VIT.

cansat

An event of CANSAT was also successfully conducted for 3 days (i.e.17th-19th April, 2023). The event began at 10:00 AM by displaying the static aerospace and RC models at the venue. The workshop was successfully conducted by all the members of IEEE AESS-VIT. The workshop commenced with brief information on satellite design by Dr. Saurabh Mehta and Prof. Pratik Mhatre. On Day 1, we had a brief Introduction to Arduino software and explanation of basic concepts. On the 2nd Day, we had demonstration of models of aerodynamic aircraft with study of aeromodelling shapes of satellite. On the 3rd Day, we had hands-on experience on preparing CANSAT model and a final landing and testing was made. The workshop was concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Pratik Mhatre.

rc craft

The RC plane workshop was followed by it and was conducted on 3 days (i.e. 13th-15th July,2023). The workshop commenced with brief information on the working principle of planes and aircraft. A documentary on the advancement in the field of aerodynamics and aircraft was shown. Parts of the airplane were properly explained along with its functionality. On Day 1, display of aircrafts made by students under the guidance of Jaydeep Sir. Explanation about the procedure to build a craft. On 2nd Day, collection of components and RC craft building procedure was initiated and perfection was attained in making models with sir’s guidance. On 3rd Day, students had hands-on experience with aerobatics model and flying test and landing was made and hence the workshop was completed.
