AESS India Initiatve Update: March 2023
During March 2022 BoG Meeting, AESS India Initiative was approved and I was entrusted with the responsibility to lead this. Within 12 months of the rollout of this initiative, total AESS membership in India stands at 519 as on 28 February 2023, against a meager 155 during March 2022. A staggering growth of 334%!
When we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of AESS, Bangalore Chapter (my parent chapter) is now the world’s largest AESS Chapter with 182 Members. Further, other Indian Sections Viz: Bombay, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Madhya Pradesh have more than 40 members, and Kerala, Madras, Pune, and UP have more than 25 AESS members. We have added 2 new section chapters (Hyderabad & Pune) and the following 13 new Student Branch Chapters within the last 12 months:

I would like to invite you to renew your membership and/or join AESS and be part of this very focused technical community working on Complex Systems of Space, Aerospace, Defense, and Ocean. I am sure with your support, we will be having similar growth in 2023 as well. As part of outreach activity and promoting AESS among other society members, IEEE AESS has sponsored IEEE AP-S & MTT-S’s MAPCON 2022 held between Dec 12-15, 2022 in Bangalore, India, and set up an Exhibit Booth. More than 500 delegates visited the booth and 50 delegates have shown their interest to become AESS Members.
