Ashwin A. Kadkol holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication from the JSSATE (VTU), India and Masters degree in Control Systems Engineering from Oklahoma State University, USA. Ashwin is a Senior Member of IEEE & its Societies (Computational Intelligence, Aerospace & Electronics Systems, and Control Systems). He is affiliated to IEEE Communities (Big Data, IOT, and Smart Grid) and IEEE Councils (Systems & Sensors). He is also a member of the IEEE Standards Association. He has served on the IEEE Control Systems Society’s Executive committee during 2015-2016 for the Bengaluru Chapter.

Ashwin has over a decade of experience in System Engineering (Automation, Flight Instrument Systems & Control, and Locomotive Control Systems), Robotics, Control Systems theory, IIOT, algorithm design and Optimization techniques (Multi objective, constrained & dynamic).  Ashwin is currently Principal – Value Engineering and leads product development efforts at Flutura Decision Sciences & Analytics, a pioneer in the Machine intelligence area. Ashwin was previously with General Electric where he led teams for System level design, development, reliability & data analytics, HIL / MIL testing of large scale embedded systems for Trip Optimizer, a product for Locomotive Control Systems. At Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, Ashwin was leading Systems Engineering efforts for Safety critical software & systems built for Electronic Flight Instrument Systems. In addition to design, development, HIL / MIL testing, he helped lead efforts on Reliability, Safety and field snag investigations/ flight data analysis for business jets. Ashwin has undergone Private Pilot Ground School & flight training via Rockwell Collins’ “To Fly” Program. Ashwin also helped Rockwell's product certification audit efforts (by the FAA and other agencies). Ashwin started his career at Cognizant Technology Solutions, Bengaluru, India.
