Director of Engineering of the 748th Supply Chain Management Group, Hill AFB, Utah - GS15. Through its five Squadrons, leads 909 personnel, executes an Air Force Supply Chain Planning and Execution budget of $1.2B and maintains 23,900 spare parts for 34 unique weapon systems including Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, 19 Space & Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence systems, most of the Air Force weapon system’s landing gear, wheels, brakes and secondary power systems and weapon system specific structural and avionics systems for the F-16, A-10, T-38 and other mature and proven aircraft systems. The group is assigned to the 448th Supply Chain Management Wing, Tinker AFB, OK.
Began Air Force career as an electronic design engineer in the hardware development section at Ogden Air Logistics Center, Utah, in 1992. In 1995, promoted to section chief of the Automatic Test Equipment and Weapons Systems Interface Engineering Section at Hill. Supervisor, systems engineer for major projects, BRAC workload relocation focal point for Sacramento and San Antonio Air Logistics centers. In 1999, transferred to the Administrative Branch of the Software Division as Branch Chief. Served as the division’s senior administrative officer. In 2001, promoted to Branch Chief for the Weapon Systems Software Engineering Branch, Maintenance Directorate, specializing in Automatic Test Equipment development and maintenance. In 2004, stood up Avionics / Electronics Systems Division at Hill Air Force Base responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of Hill’s technical policies and processes. In 2005, stood-up Force Development Division, Engineering Directorate, Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of force development policies and processes to insure development of the scientific and engineering expertise in the ALC’s nearly 1200 science and engineering professionals.
Specialties: Supervisory Engineer levels 1, 2, and 3: managed Scientists & Engineers (S&E) and technical staff, Business and Industry Specialist: provided logistics, local manpower, and relocation planning; Operations and Programs Supervisor: chief administrator for a division of 500 S&Es Electronics Engineer: designed/developed avionics and support equipment hardware and software. General Engineer: developed/implemented Force Development policy for OO-ALC; directed supply chain group engineering activities.
