Luke Joseph Sharples is a British-American electrical engineering student in the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University.
He currently researches aerospace communications and power systems and their application and development for use in harsh environments. He is working to develop a comprehensive understanding of aerospace electrical design and how this can be utilized to improve human habitation on Earth.
Luke is a graduate of the NASA L’SPACE academy, as well as a research fellow in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society at Arizona State University. Alongside engineering, he is a keen aviator holding commercial pilot licenses in airplanes and seaplanes, and formerly served as soldier in the British Army.
Luke is a member of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, the Society of Flight Test Engineers, and is an inducted member of the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu honors society. He looks forward to continuing to develop his skillset as an engineer and is excited to contribute to the advancement of power technology in the aerospace industry.
