Served in the Canadian Navy as a Marine Systems Engineer in roles as a Systems Design Project Officer, Ship Engineering Officer, Tests and Trails Officer, and Assistant Professor at RMC.

Worked in the aerospace and marine industry in roles as a Program Performance Manager, Operations Manager, Transformation Manager, Engineering Manager, and Strategy Group Leader.

Ray is currently a PhD Candidate at Colorado State University in the Systems Engineering program. His research involves a management flight simulator for design of an integrated power system.
