Abstract

There is a common misconception that space technology is exclusive to developed nations; however, developing countries can and do play a pivotal role in advancing space technology. Many authorities in these nations often view space exploration as a luxury reserved for wealthier countries, believing it holds little relevance to their immediate priorities, such as mining, agriculture, and tourism. This perspective overlooks space technology's transformative potential to enhance these industries.
This talk highlights how space technology can directly improve critical economic sectors in developing countries. From satellite monitoring for precision agriculture to remote sensing for mining operations, space-based innovations offer tangible benefits. Additionally, the presentation will showcase current initiatives in the space domain spearheaded by developing nations, underscoring their valuable contributions to global space exploration and technological advancements.
