Alan Bannon is a Research Assistant in the NGNI lab at Imperial College London. Currently, his research spans applying SoC radar sensors to challenges in biomedical sensing, scalable networked radar systems, and applications of metamaterials in radar sensing. He is part of the UK Dementia Research Institute's Care Research and Technology (CR&T) Centre at Imperial College. Alan completed his M.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University College London focussing on photonics and radar systems. As part of this programme, he attended an exchange year at Georgia Institute of Technology where he specialised in VLSI techniques and digital synthesis. Outside Imperial, Alan is a Visiting Researcher at the UCL Radar Group and continues to occasionally collaborate on publications and projects. In his spare time, he practises and coaches archery and pursues an ever-increasing number of personal engineering projects.
