Leonardo Rabinovich was born in Rosario, Argentina. He received the Master’s degree in Electric Engineering from the University of Rosario, Electrical Department, Argentina.
He started his professional career in Israel. From 1972 to 1974 he worked in the Israel Electric Company where was involved in the design of high power voltage distribution. From 1974 to 1978 he was with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) engaged in the field of reliability and tests of power electronics and electronic systems. From 1979 to 2011 he was with Tamam, a branch of the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). During 1984 – 2000 he led the System Engineer Navigation Group, responsible for algorithm development, system test and evaluation of inertial measurement units. From 2001 to 2011 was appointed as a Chief Design Engineer for new products development in the field of navigation systems based on RLG and FOG technologies. Currently he is a consult engineer in the area of inertial sensors and hybrid navigation technologies in Israel MOD and major defence industries. Mr Rabinovich delivered several tutorials in local and international conferences and was the author of the tutorial “MI2NS Marine Integrated Inertial Navigation System” presented in OCEANS ’91, Hawaii USA
