AES Systems Magazine Call for EiC Nominations
The IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society is seeking a new Editor-in-Chief (EIC) for the Systems Magazine. The term starts in July 2024 and is for three years, which may be extended by up to three additional years.
The EIC is responsible for the day-to-day editorial operations of the System Magazine and for identifying and maintaining the appropriate technical areas. The role requires regular work to determine the content in each issue and to ensure the timely review of submitted manuscripts.
To be eligible for appointment as EIC, nominees must have impeccable credentials as an author as well as a reviewer demonstrating technical excellence, thoroughness, and fairness. They must have completed one or several terms as an Associate or Senior Editor or have a strong record of equivalent experience. Nominees must be a member of the IEEE and AESS and carry a commitment of dedication and service, specifically in terms of timeliness and adherence to IEEE and AESS policies. Nominations are screened, and subsequently assessed by the AESS Vice President Publications with a small ad-hoc committee. The appointment is subject to approval by the AESS Board of Governors.
