Abstract

This presentation will highlight how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to accomplish coordinated effects across different electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) domains. Given a defined objective and a set of degrees of freedom, AI is agnostic to whether the solutions apply to radar, communications, information, or cybersecurity problems. For example, electronic protect and electronic attack differ only in their objectives: EP defines objectives with respect to oneself, while EA defines objectives with respect to the adversary. The talk will touch on how to manage temporal tradeoffs and distributed nature of the problem. AI can integrate decision making across these domains to achieve multiple objectives and (potentially competing) mission priorities, enabling balanced cross-domain coordination.
