Abdelrahman Metwally is a technology professional and dedicated IEEE volunteer currently serving as Chair of the Egypt Chapter of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) and International Director for Region 8 (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) within AESS. In these roles, he works to advance innovation in aerospace and electronic systems while strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and the global engineering community.

Professionally, Abdelrahman works in the technology sector with a focus on artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, and digital transformation, supporting organizations in leveraging advanced technologies to modernize their digital infrastructure and drive innovation.

Within IEEE, Abdelrahman has held several leadership roles focused on community development and professional engagement. He previously served as Vice Chair of IEEE Young Professionals Egypt, contributing to initiatives that empower early-career engineers, promote professional growth, and strengthen the connection between academia and industry.

Through his leadership in AESS and IEEE, Abdelrahman is committed to expanding technical activities, supporting student chapters, and fostering international collaboration to grow the aerospace and electronic systems ecosystem across Egypt and Region 8.
