Alaa Alameer Ahmad received his B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (Hiast) in Damascus, Syria, in 2008. He went on to earn his M.Sc. degree in information and communication technology from TU Darmstadt, Germany, in 2015, and later completed his Ph.D. in wireless communication at Ruhr University Bochum. He was awarded the AKDN scholarship for the academic year 2011–2012. Alaa is currently working at CARIAD in Berlin, Germany. His research interests include the optimization of wireless communication systems, the use of large language models (LLMs) and generative AI in automotive applications, and machine learning for resource management.
