Mario Werthwein earned a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 2021 from the University of Stuttgart. Today, he is a research associate and doctoral student at the Institute of Aircraft Systems at the University of Stuttgart, where his research focuses on the automation of cybersecurity risk assessments for aircraft. He is responsible for a research project funded by Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, which aims to develop a resilient self-adaptive platform for avionics. He also contributes to the "Safety and Security of Complex Systems" lectures, where he guides student exercises, proctors exams, and delivers some of the lectures.
