Dr Rajnish Sharma completed his PhD from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra while working at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi in 2002. mAfter working with BITS, Pilani for about 6 years, Dr Sharma has been serving Chitkara University in different profiles for about 18 years. Authors of a book titled “Solid State Electronic Devices” published by Oxford University Press, India & organizer of close to 10 International Conferences in different capacities. He held a short term Visiting Scholar position at Purdue University during the summer of year 2016. Dr. Sharma likes himself to be engaged in activities of research, innovation & teaching so as to give maximum value to his students. He has got close to 120 Scopus indexed research papers and five students have successfully completed Ph.D. under his supervision. As of now, he is guiding 2 more students for their Ph.D. in the area of modern electronic devices & adoption of artificial intelligence in contemporary education technology tools. He has widely travelled across many parts of the world for professional assignments given to him by Chitkara University. He is a technology freak and always remains keen to lay his hands on new technologies. He is senior member of IEEE and is currently the Vice Chair for IEEE Delhi Section.  Section has entrusted him the responsibility of being the Chair to the IEEE AESS chapter of Delhi section. Prior to that, he held the position of Secretary for 4 yearly tenures at IEEE Delhi Section from 2021 to 2024.
