Samer Hayek is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University and a member of the Autonomous Systems Perception, Intelligence, and Navigation (ASPIN) Laboratory. He received a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the Lebanese American University. He is a recipient of the 2026 IEEE AESS Engineering Scholarship, Best in Track Paper Awards at the IEEE/ION PLANS Conference and Best Paper Presentation awards at the ION GNSS+ Conference. His current research interests include low Earth orbit satellites, autonomous vehicles, sensor fusion, and simultaneous localization and mapping.
