Celebrating IEEE Women in Engineering Day 2026: Leading with Purpose and Integrity

On June 23, the IEEE Lone Star Section Joint Chapter partnered with the Women in Engineering (WiE) Affinity Group to host a luncheon meeting at Southwest Research Institute in celebration of IEEE WiE Day 2026.

Under this year’s theme, “Technology with Purpose: Innovate Responsibly, Inspire Globally, Lead with Integrity,” attendees explored the role of responsible innovation and authentic leadership in shaping the future of engineering.

The women’s leadership panel, featuring Jenny Ferren, Janice Grantz, and Angel Wileman from Southwest Research Institute, shared valuable perspectives on leading with integrity and empowering the next generation of engineers.
