IEEE Tunisian Students and Young Professionals Congress Recap
The IEEE Tunisian Students and Young Professionals Congress, is the biggest tech and engineering congress in Tunisia, under the theme “Silicon Valley”, organized by the IEEE Tunisia Section and IEEE ESSTHS Student Branch, that took place on December 18-20, 2023, in Medina Conventions center, Hammamet, Tunisia.
Our vision for the 11th Tunisian SYP, which we succeeded in executing, was to bring together experts, thought leaders, and innovators from around the IEEE Community to discuss the latest trends and advancements in technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation. With an audience of more than 1,200 engineering students and young professionals, this global initiative aimed to continue its legacy of connecting students, engineers, and industry leaders in various fields. TSYP11 served as a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among its participants. TSYP brought together individuals from across Tunisia and beyond to engage in a range of activities, including technical sessions, workshops, panel discussions, Challenges, a Booths Expo, and networking events.
The event featured notable speakers and experts sharing insights on topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics, renewable energy, and space technology. Additionally, TSYP11 hosted a series of competitions, including technical challenges, project exhibitions, and startup pitches, providing Student Branches with opportunities to showcase their talents and innovative projects. One of the highlights of TSYP11 was the collaboration with the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS), which organized an exclusive challenge and booth, drawing significant interest and participation from attendees. Overall, TSYP11 was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on its participants and reinforcing its position as a premier platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and inspiration in the region.
