Event Summary: Dr. Kumar Vijay Mishra presented the IEEE AESS Distinguished Lecture titled "Intelligent reflecting surfaces for radar and communications" on the occasion of World Space Week 2025 held online (Google Meet) on Tuesday, October 07, 2025.

The event was organized by the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) Student Branch Chapter of Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai, India under the IEEE Madras Section.

The talk focused on applications of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) to radar, wireless communications, and joint radar-communications. The lecture also included deep learning-based techniques for RIS inverse design.
