Event Summary: The DL focused on “Space Sustainability”, pointing out the challenges related to current trends in space activities and their impact to the space environment. The role of design techniques and “ally” technologies in developing a sustainable future of space has been described, pointing out the possibility of developing space networks and missions in a sustainable way.

The DL has been requested from the Vice-Chair (Mohamed Ksibi) of the IEEE AESS ENIS Student Branch because of the usefulness of the topic for ENIS Student Branch members. The insights coming from the DL on space sustainability were supposed to assist the Student Branch members in addressing key issues and developing informed solutions.
