The IEEE Lone Star Section Chapter's Joint AESS/SYSC/SMC Chapter organizes monthly speaker events related to AI, drones, and cyber.
For March, Garrett Hall gave a talk on Large Language Models (LLMs). He covered how LLMs process inputs, the role of tokenization, positional encoding, and vector embeddings, and how to reduce hallucinations using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The talk included a Q&A session and networking. The discussions sparked great conversations with others applying LLMs in their work and increase interest in AESS activities in the local community.
