Tunisian Engineering Congress Week: TECWeek 1.0
The inaugural edition of TecWeek, held on September 21-22, 2024, has left an indelible mark in the realm of space technology and innovation. This transformative event, organized by the AESS, PES, CASS, and SSCS ENIS Student Branch Chapters, brought together over 130 participants, including professors, distinguished lecturers, and experts across diverse fields. From captivating online sessions to dynamic in-person workshops, TecWeek 1.0 celebrated knowledge-sharing, exploration, and collaboration.
TecWeek 1.0 kicked off with three dynamic online sessions that brought space closer to home.
The first session, Exploring Space Fundamentals, was led by Dr. Aouinet Hana, a professor at Elisa Aerospace University, who introduced participants to the basics of space and orbital mechanics.
The second session, The Synergy of Energy and Space, featured Mrs. Wejden Boudhina from the Tunisian Space Association, who discussed space-based solar power and its potential to revolutionize energy systems.
The final online session, Communication Beyond the Earth, by Ms. Salsabil Houij from the Deep Space Initiative, provided insights into satellite communications and Earth-to-satellite technology.
TecWeek also featured in-person workshops with experts who inspired participants with hands-on learning.
Ms. Rania Toukebri, a top 100 women in aviation, led a session on Space Technologies, offering insights into ESA projects and space security. Mr. Mathew Johnston explored innovative circuits in Batteries Not Included, focusing on low-power sensor electronics . Dr. Sedki shared his expertise in Advanced CMOS Resilience, diving into radiation-hardened ASICs for aerospace applications and their role in space exploration. The event culminated with an exciting hackathon that challenged participants to design innovative solutions for space-related problems.This was more than an event, it was the beginning of a journey.
