Universidad Nat'l San Antonio Abad del Cusco Section Organized a Critical Design Review of AESS UNSAAC DSTEI

The CDR AESS UNSAAC event, organized by the AESS UNSAAC IEEE Chapter in collaboration with the Global AESS IEEE Society, took place on March 3 and 4, 2025, at the Cusco Municipality Convention Center and the Professional School of Electronic Engineering at UNSAAC. It featured the participation of the Board of Governors of the Global AESS IEEE Society, including Mark E. Davis, Stefano Coraluppi, and Giovanna Ramírez.

During the first day, the Critical Design Review of the Drone Swarm Project for Wildfire Monitoring was presented as part of the Distributed Sensing Technology and Education Initiative (DSTEI), along with three specialized tutorials on distributed sensing, data fusion, and space exploration. The second day focused on showcasing technical advancements through a visit to the Drone Swarm Laboratory, where developments such as the gyroscope for UAV design, monitoring and image processing software, and path planning and tracking algorithms were exhibited.

With 30 participants in attendance, the event reinforced UNSAAC and the AESS Chapter as key contributors to the advancement of aerospace technology and signal processing.
