The IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society is seeking to incorporate new Associate Editors (AEs) for the Systems Magazine. The term is for three years, which may be extended by up to three additional years.
The AE is responsible for handling the peer-review process of articles received under their corresponding technical area. This includes identifying reviewers, overseeing the review process, ensuring timely feedback is provided to authors, and assisting the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) in initiatives launched by the magazine.
To be eligible for appointment as an Associate Editor, nominees must have impeccable credentials as an author as well as a reviewer demonstrating technical excellence, thoroughness, and fairness. Experience as an Associate Editor or Guest Editor is valued. Nominees must be a member of the IEEE and AESS and carry a commitment of dedication and service, specifically in terms of timeliness and adherence to IEEE and AESS policies and standards. Nominations are screened, and subsequently assessed by the AESS Vice President Publication with a small ad-hoc committee.
Self-nominations are permitted.
