Description

This lecture offers a deeper technical perspective on utilizing stochastic geometry as a powerful tool for the design and optimization of mega satellite networks. We will demonstrate how stochastic geometry can be tailored to provide valuable insights into the dynamics of various parameters critical to network design. Topics covered will include line-of-sight probability estimation in urban environments, probability of coverage in hybrid terrestrial-satellite systems, beamwidth and altitude optimization, and handover time estimation between satellites. This lecture aims to showcase the versatility and potential of stochastic geometry in addressing the complex challenges inherent in mega satellite constellations.
