Identity Management in Multi-Target Tracking (2026)

This talk first reviews multiple-hypothesis tracking (MHT), the leading paradigm for multi-target tracking (MTT). We discuss significant MHT extensions that include distributed, asynchronous, graph-based, and hierarchical processing. With this foundation, we then discuss recent work in identity management in MTT that goes beyond MHT to include soft data association and a generalized, risk-sensitive performance objective.
