Term
1-year term with eligibility for reappointment for up to 2 consecutive terms not to exceed 3 consecutive years (set by AESS). Aligns with the term of the VP Publications.
Conditions of Eligibility
AESS Member. Elected as VP Publications. Must be an IEEE member at the Graduate Student Member, Member, Senior Member, or Fellow grade. Experience in IEEE publications (e.g., as an editor, associate editor, or publications committee member) is encouraged.
Primary Responsibilities
- Liaison Role: serves as a corresponding member of the TAB Periodicals Committee.
- Communication & Documentation: receives all announcements and documentation distributed to committee members.
- Publication Oversight: supports discussions on Society/Council periodicals, including proposals for new periodicals, quality monitoring, and resolving content overlaps.
- Policy Awareness: stays informed on IEEE publication policies and advises on proposed changes affecting S/C periodicals.
- Advisory Role: may provide input on best practices and process improvements related to IEEE publications.

Is not required for this position.
Expected Meeting Attendance
Does not attend regular committee meetings.
