Primary Responsibilities

Establish the award committee in accordance with the TABARC Manual and IEEE Awards Policies and Procedures.
Solicit nominations from the BoG and AESS membership.
Review nominations and recommend award recipients, ensuring no conflicts of interest with nominees or letters of recommendation. Notify nominators of any identified conflicts as needed.
Ensure compliance with the guidelines outlined in the TABARC Manual and IEEE Awards Policies and Procedures.
Send notification letters to both award recipients and non-recipients.
Inform recipients of award ceremony details.
Request nomination deadline extensions as needed.
Inform the VP Awards of the final committee decision.
Submit the AESS Award Selection Summary webform.
Work with Operations Manager to liaise with IEEE Technical Activities Support Staff to complete required paperwork for honorarium fulfillment and order award recognition product.

Travel
Is not required for this position.

Expected Meeting Attendance
Virtual committee meeting attendance may be requested for this position.
