Primary Responsibilities
- Establish the award committee in accordance with the TABARC Manual and IEEE Awards Policies and Procedures.
- Solicit applications from the BoG and AESS membership.
- Review nominations and recommend award recipients, ensuring no conflicts of interest with nominees or letters of recommendation. Notify nominators of any identified conflicts as needed. Committee members review nominations whereas the committee chair gathers the scoring and creates the final ranking from which the award recipients are recommended. Only if the number of committee members is below 3 or one of the members does not provide the scoring, the committee Chair serves also as a reviewer.
- Provide feedback to non-recipients that ask for clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with the guidelines outlined in the TABARC Manual and IEEE Awards Policies and Procedures.
- Send notification letters to both award recipients and non-recipients.
- Request nomination deadline extensions as needed.
- Inform the VP Awards of the final committee decision.
- Submit the AESS Award Selection Summary webform.
- Work with Operations Manager to liaise with IEEE Technical Activities Support Staff and educational institutions to complete required paperwork for honorarium fulfillment.

Is not required for this position.
