13th IEEE Tunisian Students and Young Professionals Congress
The 13th IEEE Tunisian Students and Young Professionals (TSYP) Congress was held from December 22–24, 2025, at the Medina Congress Center in Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia. The event gathered students, researchers, and professionals in science and engineering, providing a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration. AESS played a central role throughout the event through a dedicated booth presenting its initiatives, scope, and fields of interest to promote membership and engage attendees. Braham Himed, Abir Tabarki and Philipp Markiton contributed actively to the program and interacted with participants during different sessions of the congress.
During the TSYP opening ceremony, Braham Himed delivered a keynote address introducing AESS, its mission, and the opportunities it offers to students and young professionals working in aerospace and electronic systems. In addition, he delivered a well-received technical presentation, “Basic Signal Processing for Radar.” He covered fundamental signal processing techniques and their practical applications in radar systems, showcasing AESS's technical leadership in this field. The congress also featured a joint technical challenge organized by the AESS Tunisia Chapter in collaboration with the IES Tunisia Chapter, titled “Preventing Mission Failure Without Ground Control for CubeSats.” The challenge encouraged participants to design innovative solutions for autonomous satellite operation, addressing real-world aerospace engineering problems and fostering interdisciplinary teamwork among students.
Furthermore, the AESS Tunisia Chapter organized a mentorship program during the congress, providing students and young professionals with the opportunity to interact with experienced engineers and researchers. The program aimed to guide participants in their academic and professional journeys while strengthening the connection between IEEE societies and the next generation of engineers.
Through exhibitions, workshops, technical challenges, and networking activities, the congress provided a dynamic platform for technical exchange, innovation, and professional development.
