Event Summary: The IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society Student Branch Chapter (SBC11474) at ABV-IIITM Gwalior organized a virtual Distinguished Lecture on June 11, 2025, delivered by Prof. Lorenzo Lo Monte, Chief Scientist at TTM Technologies and VP (Conferences), IEEE AESS. The talk titled “Democratizing Air-to-Air Radars: Sense and Avoid” explored emerging radar-based sensing solutions for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and the global opportunity for scalable, embedded radar systems for autonomous platforms. The session drew wide participation, including IEEE student members, faculty, and external researchers. The session was highly interactive and provided deep insights into sensing technologies relevant to both aerospace and intelligent ground mobility. The event was hosted virtually and coordinated by IEEE AESS SBC11474 under the guidance of Dr. Somesh Kumar (IEEE SB Counselor) and Dr. Pinku Ranjan (AESS SBC Advisor). The session was moderated by Mr. Rajan Chaudhary (Chair, AESS SBC).
