Conditions of Eligibility

Primary Responsibilities

The AESS YPR serves to encourage and enhance the participation and representation of YP within AESS.
Motivate and lead YPs in organizing new/creative AESS-relevant activities.
Encourage YPs to influence and invigorate AESS chapter activities.
Contribute to the implementation and promotion of the AESS mentoring scheme.
Encourage AESS conference activities that recognize and support YPs.
Identify AESS YPs willing to support society activities and coordinate their efforts.
Report on AESS-related YPR activities at each AESS BoG meeting.
Sustain regular dialogue between AESS BoG and YPs.
Engage with YP activity leaders in TAB and MGA.
Actively seek feedback on the professional needs/aspirations of AESS YPs.
Make relevant society information/news available to YPs and YP affinity groups.
Encourage and assist YPs in achieving IEEE Senior Member status.
Collaborate with the Society’s student representatives.
Participate in online meetings and teleconferences as needed.

Travel
Minimum 3 times per year
Travel expenses are reimbursed per the IEEE Expense Guidelines.

~September-November: Fall Board of Governors Meeting
IEEE Rising Stars Conference in Las Vegas, NV, USA - typically the first week of January
Attend conferences and events as requested by the VP Member Services and/or AESS President
