Conditions of Eligibility
AESS Member. IEEE Women in Engineering Member. AESS BoG membership is not required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide reports to the VP Member Services for the Spring and Fall (BoG meetings.
  • Actively participate in the Member Services Committee.
  • Serve as a liaison between IEEE WIE and AESS, ensuring alignment with diversity and inclusion initiatives.
    Promote WIE activities, programs, and opportunities within AESS.
  • Support and encourage the engagement of women in AESS technical and leadership roles.
  • Collaborate with the Member Services Committee to develop strategies for increasing WIE participation in AESS events and initiatives.
  • Identify and recommend potential nominees for WIE-related awards and recognitions.
  • Contribute to reports and communications highlighting WIE-related efforts and progress.
  • Attend relevant meetings and events to represent AESS within IEEE WIE.
  • Typically will also serve as the TAB Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Representative but is not required to.

Travel
Attend conferences (i.e. IEEE WIE ILC) and events as requested by the VP Member Services and/or AESS President

Expected Meeting Attendance

  • Member Services Committee Meetings (virtual)
  • Spring and Fall Board of Governors Meeting (virtual) as requested by the VP Member Services
  • IEEE WIE committee meeting attendance may be requested for this position (virtual)
