AESS Member. AESS BoG membership is not required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation and administration of the AESS Short Course Program.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the program, recommending improvements to enhance accessibility, engagement, and overall impact.
- Promote the Short Course Program to AESS chapters, members, and external audiences, highlighting available lectures and the value of participation.
- Speaker Requests:
- Assess and recommend to the VP Education for the approval for short course presentations, ensuring compliance with program policies and financial guidelines.
- Communicate with individuals and organizations submitting requests, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of presentation requests and their status, with assistance from the Operations Manager as necessary.
- Renewals and Applications:
- Completed every other year
- Evaluate Short Course Instructor renewal and new applications in collaboration with the Education Committee.
- Provide informed recommendations of new applications and renewals to the VP Education.
Travel
Is not required for this position.
Expected Meeting Attendance
Education Committee Committee Meetings as requested (virtual).
