Conditions of Eligibility

Responsibilities

Serve as a voting member on the AESS Board of Governors.
Collaborate with the Society’s IEEE Young Professionals (YP) representative.
Actively seek feedback on the professional needs/aspirations of IEEE Undergraduate Student members.
Identify IEEE undergraduate students willing to support society activities and coordinate their efforts.
Motivate and lead undergraduate student members in organizing new/creative AESS-relevant activities.
Contribute to the implementation and promotion of the AESS mentoring scheme.
Make society information/news available to undergraduate student members and YP affinity groups.
Raise undergraduate student member awareness of IEEE OUs, programs, events, learning opportunities.
Sustain regular dialogue between AESS BoG and IEEE undergraduate student members.
Encourage undergraduate student members to influence and invigorate AESS chapter activities.
Report on AESS undergraduate student activities at each AESS BoG meeting.
Engage with both IEEE student members and YP activity leaders in TAB and MGA.
Apply guidance from the AESS Board of Governors and AESS Chapters Coordinator.
Participate in online meetings and teleconferences as needed.

Travel
Minimum 2 times per year
Travel expenses are reimbursed per the IEEE Expense Guidelines.

Attend conferences and events as requested by the VP Member Services and/or AESS President
