2026 AESS Fellows Announcement

AESS is pleased to congratulate the following individuals on their elevation to IEEE Fellow, the highest grade of IEEE membership and a distinction reserved for those with extraordinary records of accomplishment in IEEE fields of interest.

Igal Bilik has been elevated to IEEE Fellow for the development of automotive radar technology. His work has advanced sensing and safety capabilities that are foundational to modern and future vehicle systems.

Andrew Dempster has been elevated to IEEE Fellow for contributions to space engineering research and management. His leadership and scholarship have played an important role in advancing space systems engineering and research programs.

Boris Pervan has been elevated to IEEE Fellow for contributions to satellite navigation integrity. His work has strengthened the reliability and trustworthiness of navigation systems that support critical global infrastructure.

Roberto Sabatini has been elevated to IEEE Fellow for leadership in digital avionics for sustainability and trusted autonomy. His contributions are helping to shape the future of aerospace systems through innovative, sustainable, and autonomous technologies.

Elevation to IEEE Fellow is a significant professional honor, with no more than one tenth of one percent of IEEE voting members selected each year. We extend our sincere congratulations to these distinguished professionals on this well deserved recognition and thank them for their lasting contributions to the field.
